MASC is a competitive swim team operated at the James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg, PA. We provide the opportunity for swimmers ages 18 and under to compete and participate in an environment that is both supportive and fun. We are active for summer and winter seasons. MASC is a great way to make new friends, build self-confidence, and engage team spirit.

MASC will provide young swimmers the opportunity to develop the necessary fundamentals for competitive swimming while perfecting the skill of older more experienced swimmers.

MASC is not swimming lessons. Swimmers ages 8 & under must be able to swim the length of a 25 meter pool, unassisted. 

Swimmers ages 9 & up must be able to swim 50 yards, unassisted.

Practice will occur Monday-Thursday from 5:30-7:00pm.  You can choose which nights you attend practice and how often, but swimmers are encouraged to attend as often as possible to improve their swimming ability.

MASC is affiliated with the Central Penn Aquatic League (CPAL) in the winter season and the Mid-Atlantic Summer Swim League in the summer season. These local leagues offer dual meets and championships for our members to build competitive experience.
